Things are happening, time is ticking, boxes are being packed.....
Hey everyone,
So much good stuff has been happening! With just under 8 weeks to go things are coming together for us as we faithfully prepare to leave Australia on August 1st.
We have been so blessed with a unit to live in for our time in Redding. God certainly had the whole thing planned out for us, right down to bunk beds for Charlee and Declan's bedroom. We had kinda resigned to having to purchase a set when we got there with most properties having 2 single (or twin beds as they call them!) or a double in the second bedroom. When I enquired about this unit, the land lord advised there was already bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom, which may seem insignificant to most of you, but for us to know that God has prepared even the most insignificant of things encourages us to keep going in times of doubt (or possibly a few freak outs!!!). We can't wait to send you all a few pictures of our new home for the coming year!
We have a Visa appointment in Melbourne late June. It will be an express visit to Melbourne with just 3 days between Chris' shifts so a lot of driving in a short space of time. The kids are really keen to come with us (I'm not sure how keen they will be after the drive!) and we are so excited to meet up with another family heading to BSSM this year who live in Melbourne, they also have children very similar ages to ours, yay!
Chris has officially resigned from his job at the RAH ED after he was denied leave without pay from senior management. He received invitations back to the department, when we return, from his direct managers ...... we will see what happens there! He is finishing work early July and I think we are all looking forward to the break from a Shift working dad and husband, home for dinner every night of the week - a luxury in our household!
I (Elle) will be taking a career break from the Bendigo Bank, which is a true blessing and helps us with our ties back to Australia for Visas etc and this job has been so perfect for our family, I'm glad I can return after our first year of BSSM
We have been truly humbled and blessed by our local church family (Infuse Church Mt Barker) investing in us as a family and truly getting behind what we are going to do, we appreciate them all so much and really believe that God will bring us back here to share with them all what we are going to learn! Thanks to you all! As excited as we are for our adventure, we are truly going to miss you!
I have to be real here for a moment, God showed us how we could use the sale or our investment property to mostly fund our 1st year at BSSM. We have faithfully followed every step he laid out in front of us, however after 6 weeks on the market we do not yet have a sale contract on this property. We absolutely believe that God is going to come through for us but we would love it if you would pray with us that a contract comes in perfect timing! God sure knows the boxes we have to tick when we arrive in San Francisco so I have no doubt he has it all in hand!
We love you all so much. God is working in all your lives even if you can't see it; He wants to bless you everyday!
Until the next update, be blessed!
Elle, Chris, Charlee and Declan xx
