Hello from Redding, California!!!

Hello and blessings to you all. We pray that you are well and surviving the last of the cold winter!

We are here in Redding safe and sound. It has been a tough 10 days though and we can by no means see the end in sight. Let me explain a little.

Firstly if you have contacted us on an individual level and not recieved a response we apologise, as you will see it has been very difficult to be in contact with anyone.

We knew it was going to be a tougher transition than last year but we never thought it would be like this! After arriving at 1am in the morning I (Elle) came down with a tummy bug the rest of the family had just gotten over in time to fly the day before. It wiped me out for a few days, a few very important days. We had a mountain of things to do which was impossible for just Chris and so we got behind! Everything just seemed so huge. We eventually got the keys to our new place, found a fridge and some beds for the kids and so we moved in. A couple of days later when the land lady came to sign the contracts with us she decided that because of our financial situation that we could not stay here as she couldn't be worrying all the time about if we would pay the rent. We absolutely respect her and she is such a beautiful Christian lady (not associated at all with Bethel) that we said ok.

So our situation is not looking good. No one will rent to us without financials and we don't have any financials! We know that with a couple months rent upfront and a sale contract on our Unit we would be able to stay here, which is the most ideal situation for our family. Guys we need a miracle!

We know we are right where were meant to be and the enemy is totally mad about it (trust me you just got a very short version of the last 10 days, I could write a book on what has happened). We know that God is faithful to his promise that he is Jehovah Jireh our provider and we know that nothing is to difficult for him! We are choosing to trust and remain faithful to what he has for us but I can't tell you how many times we have just wanted to change our flights and  come home.

What can you do? PRAY! Pray for provision, pray for protection for our hearts, our minds and our bodies. Pray for a contract on our unit (we have a new agent going in this week to bring fresh perspective)( I am aware we had a lot of conversations over the winter with people regarding this but since we have arrived here it  is clear to us that this property not selling is standing in the way of us having what we need this year). Pray for Charlee and Declan they have been absolute troopers and taken everything in their stride, pray that they will remain settled no matter where we go. Pray that Chris tuition will be paid.

Give: If you feel led to give into our immediate need of rent you can do that by direct deposit into our account: BSB 633000 ACCT# 153851506 ACCT NAME E E and C de Haas you can reference donations rent.

We're believing for Glory to Glory this year and so trusting that this bump in the road is just that a bump!

Chris and I will start school on Tuesday with introduction to our revival group Pastor and mentors for the year. This will be a very exciting day for us and the beginning of what I am convinced is going to be an incredible year.

Love and blessings,
Elle, Chris, Charlee and Declan
