It's been too long
Hello!
Wow, how did we get to the end of October already? We have been so flat out since our last blog it has been tough to get time to write to you all.
Great news, we found a home to live in! It was such a blessing from God and we can really see his hand on the whole process. We so appreciate those who financially assisted us to get into a home it really means the world to us! This home is such a blessing for the family and it is in an incredible location so close to all the buildings we have to get to for school!
God lined up a student to share our home with. It has been such a blessing and he is adding so much value to our home and family. The kids absolutely love Drew and we love having him around. He is also a 2nd year student at BSSM. He is from South Carolina and so we are navigating explaining the Australian way to him but he seems to be getting it!
The friday after we moved in we were off to Chico YWAM base on our retreat. The 2nd years are on retreat to serve the 1st years and we really love this aspect of our time away. We started out by having prophetic booths set up for when they arrived. Chris and I both did blindfolded prophetic sessions, it was tiring but so amazing hearing feedback about how God was speaking to people through the prophetic words we were giving. We also served by ministering to the 1st years in the main sessions in the evening. It was so fun seeing God really show up and touch their lives!
Chris and I hiked with some new friends up to a high peak where there were the crosses on the hill and the view was stunning, here's a panorama I took.
We then had a quiet week, Chris had the privilege of serving at the Open Heavens conference (a wonderful perk of 2nd year, praying and ministering at conferences during the year) then school went into full session!
Kris Vallotton has been teaching us in the Main session about Leaders and leadership, inside and outside of the Church. It has been challenging but so good. We are also completing leadership development activities as part of our schooling. It is really showing us who we are, where God wants to use us and how we can grow.
On the first day that Bill Johnson shared with us as a class he told us we were a class of the Holy Spirit and invited us to go after the glory of God together with him. Wow what an invitation! He has been since unpacking what that looks like in our daily lives and how we can steward ourselves well for the more God has for us!
This year we also get to tailor our year to what we want with a larger choice of elective subjects. Chris and I are loving this and really soaking everything up! We are both taking a class 'Studies in the Sermon on the Mount' and we are absolutely loving it. It is so great to delve deep into a passage of scripture and learning what it means to live as a disciple of Christ. Other classes we are taking include Practice Gods Ways, Head to Heart and I am taking the SOZO track. (if you want to hear more about any of this we would love to answer any questions or give extra information just Email us)
Charlee and Declan have settled into school so well, they are both excelling in their school work and i think enjoying the stability of a school environment they are used to.

Charlee has settled back into her friendship group well and auditioned and won a place in the 5th and 6th grade play. She is looking forward to her performance in a couple of weeks. Declan has blown us away by really stepping up and excelling in 3rd grade (after skipping 2nd grade at the end of last year) he has shown us that he is an incredible student and very smart! it has been a great start for both of them. They both ran in the school colour run a few weeks ago, both of them did well and were great sports on the day. Declan was slightly blue for about a week afterwards -oops!
We Celebrated Chris' 40th Birthday earlier in the month. It was so nice to celebrate him and spoil him for his special day. We had some friends over for coffee and cake and then we celebrated with the kids on his actual birthday.
There is so much more to say but I will leave some for next time!
We appreciate so much your prayer support. Here are our current prayer needs:
- Continued grace to settle into our new routine (it has been tough!)
- Finances - favor, increase and a contract on our unit.
- Supernatural ability to absorb everything we are learning, there is so much every day!
- Continued blessing for Charlee and Declan's schooling
We also have some current financial need. We are behind on our payments for the kids tuition. We believe that God has placed them in the school to prepare them for their amazing futures, not only their academics but also the plans that he has for their lives in the kingdom. It is not our heart to have to take them out of the school or to not pay the tuition but until our unit sells we do not have the funds to do it.
We appreciate so much those who have partnered with us on a regular basis, this little bit of money coming in is such a blessing when things are so tight! Our expenses are huge and finances are not going as far this year with the Aussie dollar being so low we are really noticing it. We would love a few more people to partner with us, we believe that sowing into the kingdom is so much more valuable than sowing into worldly things and will bring an incredible reward from heaven! Even $20 can get us basic groceries when things are tight so we appreciate every dollar.
Here are our bank details if you would like to partner with us or make a donation: Account name: EE&C de Haas BSB 633000 (Bendigo Bank) Account #:153851506

Much love and blessings to you all.
Elle, Chris, Charlee and Declan
